SPRUHA – Short Film Competition


Spruha: Stands for Consciousness, Awareness.

Since ages artists have played a role in awakening the consciousness of the society towards issues of societal importance. In recent times, media has emerged as the most influential of all mediums.

The Spruha Short Film Competition, is a platform for creative thinkers to create such awareness amongst the public on and around women development. ‘Spruha’makes its debut launch at the National Women’s Summit being conducted in Hyderabad, Telangana from 1-3 February 2018. The Competition will screen the chosen top-notch short film entries at the magnificent venue of the Summit, the Shilpakala Vedika. Spruha is expected to attract 75 short films of all varieties-narrative, animation, experimental, and hybrid. Each chosen filmmaker will have an opportunity to vie for the attractive cash prizes on offer, listen to expert film makers and celebrities, apart from active networking opportunities within the film making fraternity. The festival prides itself on creating a unique, accessible, and creativity-driven atmosphere.
